Immortals have been granted an "emergency transfer" by WESA to use in ESL Pro League Season 6, the tournament's organisers have announced.
The WESA Executive Board has decided to update the Pro League rulebook to allow teams to make a third transfer during the course of the season in case of emergency, provided that one of the previously added players is removed from the roster.
The Brazilian giants have been scouring the market for two new players since twin brothers Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles and Henrique "HEN1" Teles requested to be moved to the bench following Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe's release, last week.
In light of this situation, Immortals asked WESA "for one additional, emergency transfer to be able to restructure responsibly", ESL has revealed.
With Immortals set to face CLG tonight, in the ESL Pro League, the Brazilian team were forced to act, picking up Bruno "shz" Martinelli and Lucas "destiny" Bullo, two former players of the ex-paiN team, who signed for Tempo Storm last month.
shz and destiny were both part of Luminosity until being replaced in July by Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes and Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato. During their time with the North American organisation, the Brazilian team placed third-fourth in the iBUYPOWER Invitational Spring and second at the EsportsArena Santa Ana Showdown Championship.
It is currently unknown whether Immortals plan to tie shz and destiny down to permanent deals or if they are just short-term solutions for the ESL Pro League.
Meanwhile, João "horvy" Horvath is still awaiting his Immortals debut. The 19-year-old, who signed for the North American organisation from k1ck, is currently in Brazil waiting for his P-1 visa to be granted before flying to the United States.
Immortals' roster for the ESL Pro League is the following:
Ricardo "boltz" Prass
Lucas "steel" Lopes
Bruno "shz" Martinelli
Lucas "destiny" Bullo
Rafael "zakk" Fernandes (coach)
João "horvy" Horvath (awaiting visa clearance)
